LIDDESDALE BRANCH & SOCIAL CLUB

The Branch was formed in 1947 after a meeting in the Drill Hall at North Liddle Street.

The committee purchased premises in Montague Street where the social club was formed and opened in 1953. It remained there until 1977. In the meantime the Mechanics Hall at 3a North Hermitage Street was purchased and opened at 7 minutes past 7 on the 7th July 1977.

The Liddesdale branch can boast a main bar with a pool table, lounge, function room with bar. The main bar was refurbished in 2002. The function room is available to hire via a member for parties, weddings and other functions. We are able to cater for all occasions.
