The Windy Edge Community Liaison Group terms of reference:

The CLG has the following invited foundation members: (substitutes permitted) Hobkirk Community Council - 2 attendees, Upper Teviotdale and Borthwick Water Community Council - 2 attendees, Newcastleton and District Community Council - 2 attendees, Newcastleton and District Community Council - 1 attendee – specifically representing Hermitage, Newcastleton Business Forum - 1 attendee

Attendance at these meetings does not imply support or otherwise for the Windy Edge Wind Farm proposal. Smithy House Associates will Chair and provide the secretariat for the CLG meetings.

The aim of the CLG is to provide a forum for discussion and the exchange of information and to improve and maintain channels of communication between representatives of the company proposing to develop the wind farm, and the local community.

The CLG receives progress updates from Infinis about proposals for the site, & deals with questions and concerns arising from the surrounding communities. Will/can establish workshop discussions on key specific elements of the potential proposal, development and operation of the site if need arises.

Detailed minutes are kept as a record of the meeting and these will be agreed, subject to any amendment proposed by any member of the group. The agreed minutes will be published on the Project Website and issued through the Community Councils. Copies of agreed minutes will be sent to the following stakeholders:

Local Member of Parliament, Local and list MSPs , Scottish Borders Councillors representing Hawick and Hermitage , Scottish Borders Councillors representing Hawick and Denholm , Planning Department of Scottish Borders Council for information purposes. , Visit Scotland , Buccleuch Estates
