The 7stanes, a series of purpose built trails centres across the South of Scotland boast some of the best quality trails in the UK, including the ever popular Glentress, Ae and Kirroughtree. Newcastleton stane offers a perfect introduction to the stanes and situated only fifteen miles from Kielder Water and Forest Park which also offers a range of experiences for the keen mountain biker, there is plenty to do. The Kielder trails can be reached by road ( 30 minute drive) or for the more adventurous by using the Cross Border Trail.

The village of Newcastleton is only a short cycle from the start of the 7stanes trails and offers ample parking at Douglas Square in the heart of the village, with bike racks, toilets, showers, village information, shops, good food, a range of accommodation and friendly locals keen to welcome you to the area.
