The Public Park By Dorothy Robson The Public Park was gifted to the villagers by the Duke of Buccleuch and it has been extensively used over the years. A right-of-way runs through the park and this is often used as a short cut.
It is now beautifully kept by the Council Parks Department.
Play equipment for children was initially provided by the efforts of the Liddesdale Ladies Amenities Group and later Roxburgh District Council provided new equipment and safety surfaces.
Trees and flower beds were added to the park by the Scottish Development Agency; this is an excellent place for the village sports and for picnics.
