24 Hour Exposure Championship

Newcastleton hosted the first EVER solo 24 hour exposure championship in the UK over the weekend of May 22/23rd 2010 over the 7Stanes Mountain Bike trails.

Organised by SIPP Events and hosted by our local activity centre Rock UK it was a monumental success. The solo course ran over 12 miles of unrelenting terrain which was a challenge to even the most experienced riders. 83 set off but only 40 finished the gruelling race. All of them can be truly proud of themselves but the winner Matt Page managed to cycle 265 miles in 24 hours which is an amazing achievement.

The community and businesses of Newcastleton would like to thank the competitors, the organisers, the sponsors, Rock UK and the 7stanes for making this happen.

We loved having you and look forward to working with you all again when you return on May 7/8th 2011 for the even bigger and better European Solo 24hr exposure championship. More details to follow soon.
